What This Privacy Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to the personal information that Employee Choice Benefits receives from you and thereafter stores in the company’s database, including but not limited to information relating to your past use of Employee Choice Benefits products and services. “Personal information” is information about you such as your name, street address, email address, telephone number, and such other similar information that is received from you by Employee Choice Benefits.

Information Collection and Use

Employee Choice Benefits collects personal information when you register orsign up with Employee Choice Benefits, when you use Employee Choice Benefits products or services, when you visit Employee Choice Benefits pages or the pages of certain Employee Choice Benefits partners and when you enter promotions or sweepstakes. Employee Choice Benefits may also combine information about you with information that we obtain from advertisers or other companies.

When you register or sign up, we ask for information such as your name, street address, email address, zip code, occupation and/or industry. Once you register or sign up with Employee Choice Benefits and sign into our services, you are not anonymous to us.

Employee Choice Benefits also automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, Employee Choice Benefits cookie information, and the page you request. "Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by an Internet User's browser on the Internet User's hard drive.

Employee Choice Benefits uses information for the following general purposes: to customize the advertising and content you see, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our customer services, contact you, conduct research, and to provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Employee Choice Benefits does not rent, sell, or share personal identifying information about you with nonaffiliated individuals or companies except 1) where it is necessary to provide the information to acquire the products or services that you've requested and where we have your permission to do so; or 2) under the following circumstances: (a) we provide the information to nonaffiliated individuals or companies under confidentiality agreements for the purpose of allowing them to use your personal information to help Employee Choice Benefits communicate with you about offers from Employee Choice Benefits and/or our marketing partners, however, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information or to use this information for any purpose not consistent with the limited use identified in the foregoing sentence; or 3) we also share your personal identifying information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process, and/or to establish and/or exercise our legal rights and/or to defend against legal claims, and we will also share your information at such times and under such circumstances that we determine, in our sole discretion, that it is necessary to share the information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of the Employee Choice Benefits Terms of Use, or as otherwise required by law; and 4) we will transfer information about you if Employee Choice Benefits is acquired by or merged with another company, and in this event, Employee Choice Benefits will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Additionally, Employee Choice Benefits displays targeted advertisements based on personal information. Advertisers (including ad serving companies) may assume that people who interact with, view, or click on targeted ads meet their targeting criteria - for example, women ages 18-24 from a particular geographic area. Employee Choice Benefits does not provide any personal information to the advertiser when you interact with or view a targeted ad. However, by interacting with or viewing an ad, you are consenting to the possibility that the advertiser will make the assumption that you meet the targeting criteria used to display the ad. Employee Choice Benefits advertisers include financial service providers (such as banks, insurance agents, stock brokers and mortgage lenders) and non-financial companies (such as stores, airlines, and software companies).

Employee Choice Benefits may set and access Employee Choice Benefits cookies on your computer. Advertisers or other companies do not have access to Employee Choice Benefits's cookies. Employee Choice Benefits uses web beacons to access Employee Choice Benefits cookies inside and outside of our network of web sites and in connection with Employee Choice Benefits products and services.

Employee Choice Benefits may from time to time update this policy. We will notify you about any significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending you a notice to the primary email address specified in your Employee Choice Benefits account or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
